Key trends seen at LFW 2017
So, as most of our lovely DT followers probably know. Yesterday marked the end of this years LONDON FASHION WEEK! And although we sadly didn't get a chance to attend any of this years shows, we have been keeping up with this years trends on social media (thank god for Instagram)!
Every year the runways of #LFW are graced with the latest fashions from some of the best designers around the world. To celebrate the end of another year at LFW we thought we would do a little round up of our 2 fave looks.
The first catwalk show which really took our eye, was the JOSEPH AW17 collection, which was showcased at Victoria House. We absolutely loved the pop of red theme running throughout the collection. Red is definitely coming back and these designs show a very tasteful and trendy way to wear the bold colour.
Another trend we caught onto which we saw from a few designers this year, was puffy volumes. We loved the floaty materials, ruffle layers and puffy designs creating a gorgeous romantic feel. Some of our fave looks are below!
BURBERRY went for a more monochrome style and we LOVE it >>
And finally another designer 'Marques ' Almedia' who took on a slightly different approach to this trend, with more bold colours and stronger prints but still following the ruffle layers.
We are absolutely loving these trends and can't wait to introduce similar, more everyday/wearable pieces into the store and online. Keep an eye out for our next blog post which will be up next week - 'A Day In The Life Of A Fashion Buyer' for our favourite womenswear brand, French Connection where you can see a sneak peak of our Autumn Winter 17 collection.
Signing off for now,
