The brand 'Jocasi' originated about 6 years ago whilst on a trip to Indonesia.

The inspiration came from an iconic and practical bag known widely in this area as the 'Fisherman Bag'.

Originally designed way before commercial transport was invented the local fisherman used to travel to the coast and bring back their catch in this specially designed bamboo bag called the 'Kepis' which, due to its boat shaped design allowed the fish to remain aired and fresh for as long as possible whilst on their treacherous journey home.

With the help of a compadre the original shape of this bag was adapted using lush, soft leather and personalised with a funky metal buckle fastening....This gorgeous, classic design was an instant hit......Jocasi was born!
